5 Must-Have Fall Pieces

As a recessionista, I know you're constantly working with a pretty limited budget. When a new season rolls around, you don't always have wiggle room in your budget to revamp. What's the solution? Stick to the basics! I've put together five essential items to add to your wardrobe for an instant fall makeover.
5 Must-Have Fall Items: Stick to the Basics

The trick to giving your wardrobe a mini-revamping is to add chic basics to your wardrobe that will fit with items you already own. That way, you're integrating new pieces while staying within your budget.

First, fall always calls for a great pair of dark wash skinny jeans. You can dress them up for a first date or girl's night out, or keep them casual with a slouchy tee and flats for daywear. The key to buying skinny jeans is to buy a pair that works for your body and fits you well.
Second, scarves are fantastic fall accessories to add a pop of color to any outfit. You can have fun with a vibrant printed scarf, or keep it simple with a solid bright tone.

Third, a classic black skirt doubles as a great fall transitional piece with vibrant tees and fun winter item with tights and a fancy blouse.

Fourth, a long cardigan is a must-have for fall/winter layering. Throw on your cardigan with a pair of skinnies, your favorite sheath, or on top of your go-to collared shirt.

And finally, you need a fun blouse to keep you cool for these last hot parts of summer/early fall. It also doubles as a basic for layering once the weather cools off. Wear this bowed gray blouse with jeans, a skirt, or dress pants for an instantly polished look for minimum effort.

The good news about each of these must-have items is that they're all available right now and most are on sale!
