Old Hollywood History to be Sold at Auction

If you're around me long enough, you'll quickly realize how addicted to Marilyn Monroe I am. I've always idolized Marilyn as a joyful, free spirit. No doubt I'd love to own something that was once connected to her, but that's probably a long shot.

However, if your pockets are deep enough you could be the next proud owner of Marilyn's wedding ring.
Word on the street is that Profiles in History will begin their "Icons of Hollywood" auction on December 15. The auction will include the platinum and diamond band given to Marilyn by famed New York Yankee, Joe DiMaggio.

The platinum stunner from the couple's 1954 San Francisco wedding is expected to go between $300,000 and $500,000, even though it's missing one baguette diamond!

The band has already been auctioned off once before at Christie's in 1999 and collected nearly $800,000.

Apparently, there are no shortage of people wanting to own Marilyn memorabilia. Her famed white halter dress from The Seven Year Itch recently auctioned for over $5.6 million.
